Business Man/Entrepreneur - Zachary Zaitzeff
Born in New York, Zachary Zaitzeff runs a
successful family-owned business that specializes in organic hamburgers; the
Zaitzeff burgers. The idea and
conceptualization of the business was born after the 9/11 while Zachary was working as
a financial services professional on the Wall Street. Two years later, he decided to change his career
path by first quitting his job and then opening Zaitzeff burgers within New York
City's financial district, on the 72 Nassau Street. His decision was prompted by his desire to
take part in the rebuilding of the city after the attacks.
Being highly passionate about the importance of
local food, he makes them a priority in his restaurant. This is due to his strong belief that the use
of local food creates a mutually beneficial relationship between small restaurants
and food providers hence keeping the local businesses alive on both sides of
the transaction. Other food items that
he loves using include grass-fed beef and organic ingredients.
Zachary's Zaitzeff burgers which is family operated
drives home his point that working with family not only brings a family together
but also helps in aiding in the operation of a great business, which is a great
experience. What he appreciates most about
his business and his family's involvement in it is being able to rely on their support
and trust at all times.
To achieve the success that he has, he
confesses that it's all thanks to his deep passion for food being served. "Whilst making sure that everything that
is served is of the highest quality, our formula for the Zaitzeff burgers is
simple; we get the best ingredients and fuss with them the least." He says.
Having lived all his life in New York, Zachary
is a proud New Yorker and admits that his commitment and patriotism to the city
increased even more after the 9/11. He
believed that by working together with the rest of the citizens, he could
contribute positively towards the rebuilding of a better city, which he has. On his tips regarding becoming successful, he
mentions that doing research is very important as well as building a professional
team and having some expertise on the field.
Aside from his business venture at the Zaitzeff
burgers, Zachary is a very successful painter as well as an outdoors explorer. In 2009, he climbed to the summit of Mt.
McKinley and in 2011, the summit of Mt. Everest. In addition, he loves athletics and personal
fitness. This passion started way back
while he was still in high school as he would get involved in cross-country running
and cycling. He's also very passionate
about helping out and giving back to the community. He has been sponsoring other mountaineers for
he values the experience the adventure has given him and wants others to experience
it. He is also known to support a charity
that supplies clean water to children and also donates to the Wounded Warrior Project;
which is a charitable organization involved in providing resources and giving
support to American citizens who've been injured while serving in the armed forces.
